IGG ESPORTS LEAGUE

It is a structured esports development and competition platform designed to elevate Malaysian esports talent from grassroots participation to international competition. By providing a structured platform for both seasonal leagues and high stakes championships, iGG creates a pathway for players to showcase their skills, gain high level match experience and be exposed to professional esports standards.

Organized by iGG Arena Cafe & Club Sdn Bhd & run by Esports Putrajaya as the strategic & implementation partner, this league aim to identify, nurture and develop new and emerging talents in the esports competitive scene, serving as a strong talent pipeline to support and strengthen the existing pool of professional players.

The league operates on a leaderboard system accessible via mobileapp.iggesports.com. Teams and individual players accumulate points continuously based on their performance and final standings in each contested series. This leaderboard format ensures that only the most consistent and top-performing competitors qualify for the Grand Finals.

The league features four distinct categories:

  • Junior Esports League (JEL): Dedicated to youth players aged 13 to 17.

  • University Esports League (UEL): Open to students enrolled in public and private colleges or universities in Malaysia.

  • Women Esports League (WEL): Tailored for female players aged 13 and above.

  • National Esports League (NEL): An open amateur league accessible to all players aged 13 and above.

The competition modes are divided as follows:

  • JEL, UEL, & WEL: Online Series only.

  • NEL: Both Online and Offline Series.

Each season of the league spans a duration of 4-6 months.

  • There are 7 online tournament series for the JEL, UEL, and WEL categories.

  • The NEL category features 6 online series and 6 offline series, totaling 12 series overall.

The featured game titles vary by league category:

  • JEL: MLBB & eFootball Mobile

  • UEL: MLBB, PUBG Mobile, & eFootball Mobile

  • WEL: MLBB

  • NEL: MLBB, PUBG Mobile, Valorant, Tekken 8, Gran Turismo 7, eFootball Console & eFootball Mobile

The offline tournament series will be conducted across 6 designated zones:

  • Northern Zone

  • Southern Zone

  • Eastern Zone

  • Central Zone

  • Borneo 1 Zone

  • Borneo 2 Zone

Bonus Points

In addition to placement points, competitors can earn bonus points based on the following criteria:

  • Participation Bonus:

    • Online Series: 5 points

    • Offline Series: 10 points

  • iGG 5G Mobile Bonus:

    • Package 35: 5 points

    • Package 50: 7 points

    • Package 68: 10 points

    • Package 98: 15 points

Note for Team Tournaments: To qualify for the iGG 5G Mobile bonus points, every player in the team must subscribe to an eligible package. The final bonus points awarded will be determined by the average score of the packages chosen by all team members.

A total of 16 players or teams from each category and game title will advance to the Grand Finals. The only exception is Gran Turismo 7 (GT7), which limits qualification to the top 12 players.

The cumulative prize pool for the league stands at RM125,000. The breakdown by category is as follows:

  • JEL: RM10,500

  • UEL: RM17,500

  • WEL: RM7,000

  • NEL: RM90,000

  • Online Series:

    • Individual Titles: RM500 per series

    • Team Titles: RM1,000 per series

  • Offline Series:

    • Individual Titles: RM1,000 per series

    • Team Titles: RM2,000 per series

IGG ESPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP

The iGG Esports Championship serves as the official Grand Finals for the iGG Esports League. The top 16 performing players and teams from the respective leaderboards automatically qualify to compete in this championship.

The championship takes place at the end of each season and spans a duration of 2 days.

The contested game titles are identical to those played throughout the iGG Esports League season.

The tournament is conducted entirely in an offline format at selected venue (TBC)

  • The tournament format is determined by the specific game title:

    • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), eFootball Mobile, & eFootball Console: Round Robin followed by Single Elimination, Best of 3 (BO3).

    • PUBG Mobile: Battle Royale format.

    • Valorant & Tekken 8: Double Elimination, Best of 3 (BO3).

    • Gran Turismo 7 (GT7): Championship format across 5 maps.

A total of 16 players or teams from each category and game title will qualify for the Grand Finals. The only exception is Gran Turismo 7 (GT7), which limits qualification to the top 12 players.

Individual Titles: RM5,000

Team-Based Titles: RM10,000

The total overall prize pool for the Grand Finals amounts to RM100,000.

IGG ESPORTS INTERNATIONAL

The iGG Esports International Championship is an elite international invitational tournament. It serves as a global competitive platform to provide international exposure for selected players and teams who have emerged as champions in their respective categories within the iGG Esports Championship.

The event takes place at the end of each season and concludes within 1 day.

The championship will feature 1 individual game title and 1 team-based game title selected from the iGG Esports Championship lineup. For Season 1, Tekken 8 and eFootball Mobile + Console have been selected as the featured titles.

The tournament is conducted entirely in an offline format at selected venue (TBC)

  • The tournament format depends on the specific game title:

    • Tekken 8: Round Robin Best of 3 (BO3), followed by Double Elimination Best of 3 (BO3).

    • eFootball Mobile + Console: Round Robin Best of 3 (BO3) followed by Double Elimination, Best of 3 (BO3).

Individual Format: RM12,000

Team Format: RM18,000

The cumulative prize pool for the iGG Esports International Championship is RM30,000.

MEMBERSHIP

The iGG Esports Club membership is an exclusive program managed via the iGG Super App. It is strategically designed to build and support a unified esports community ecosystem for players across Malaysia.

To register, click the provided link and log in using your Google (Gmail) credentials, or select the option to create a new account. If you choose to create a new account, please ensure you use a valid email address, as the system will issue a verification link to complete registration.

Once successfully logged into your account, fill in your required personal details to access the main dashboard. From the dashboard, click on the Membership icon, select your preferred subscription package and proceed to complete your payment.

There are 3 tier packages available:

  • 1 Month: RM30 per month

  • 6 Months: RM150 (equivalent to RM25 per month)

  • 12 Months: RM240 (equivalent to RM20 per month)

HOW TO JOIN?

To participate in the iGG Esports League & Championship, every player must register as a paid member of the iGG Esports Club. Please refer to the iGG Esports Club Membership FAQ for further guidance.

Players must subscribe to a minimum of either the 6-month or 12-month membership package to be eligible to participate. The 1-month membership package does not grant eligibility for the iGG Esports League & Championship.

This requirement is in place because a single tournament season of the iGG Esports League & Championship spans a duration up to 6 months.

Yes. Every player on the team must register as a paid member of the iGG Esports Club to qualify the team for participation in the iGG Esports League & Championship.

  • Navigate to and click on the Tournament icon, then select your preferred league category (e.g., UEL).

  • For Individual Tournaments (e.g., Tekken 8 and eFootball): Click on the SOLO button. You will automatically be assigned a seed and a slot in the tournament.

  • For Team Tournaments: You must first create your team profile under the MyTEAM section (please refer to the My Team FAQ). Once the team is established, click on the TEAM button. Your team will then automatically be assigned a seed and a slot.
